Up Your Skirt



Materials that are required for this class include:
  • 1x 15 degree triangle ruler (Creative Grids $32.98 in store)
  • 1x Triple Dresden Tree Skirt Pattern ($12.98 in store)

Fabric

Front- 1yd fabric for the widest part of Dresden panels (4 strips of 9" WOF)
         3/4 yd fabric for middle part of Dresden panels (3 strips of 9" WOF)
         3/4 yd fabric for narrow part of Dresden panels + binding (3 strips of 9" WOF)

Backing- Either 24 assorted scraps 21"x7" to create all the Dresdens or 2x21 WOF of 2 fabrics to create alternating panels. What you use will depend on whether you want this to be reversible.
           -1m each of fabric for backing or 2m single fabric.

Batting- a 17.5"x40" strip of batting to cut into 24 pieces.

Thread to match.

Suggested Materials include:

  • Temporary Spray adhesive to hold pieces together while assembling.
  • Walking foot for machine quilting/decorative stitching.
  • Trim if desired (it took about 21m of ric-rac to trim down the seam line between Dresdens front and back.

Note: The pattern has instructions for using fat quarters for your fabric.

We also need to stress - YOU DO NEED TO CONFIRM ATTENDANCE FOR EACH CLASS - we need to plan for our numbers correctly.
