Kimberbell
As you may already know, Lorraine, Judy and I just returned from Logan, Utah where we attended the Kimberbell Academy! All we can say is WOW, WOW, WOW!!
Kim, Kris and all her amazing staff sure know how to put on an event! They shared all their knowledge and enthusiasm with us and we have returned ready to hit the ground running! We hope you will catch the Kimberbell fever with us as we plan our first event, Sewing with your Gnomies! This two-day embroidery event is sure to please. (Hint: it will also involve our Designer Epic machines!) Keep watching our website, emails and on social media for further details. See photos for a sneak peek 👀. On top of everything that Kim had done for us during Academy, she sent us home with a gift valued at $100.00 for us to give to one lucky viewer. We will post more details shortly.

Quilts of Valour
We are so very pleased to have the ladies from quilts of valour to meet at our classroom every first and third Tuesday of the month. If you are interested in helping this amazing group of ladies, please feel free to drop in during store hours and volunteer. Don’t want to bring your sewing machine or are not a sewer? No problem. There are other things you can do to help whether it be pressing or cutting fabric, any help is appreciated. You can stop in anytime and leave whenever. No need to stay the whole day. We will also have a sewing machine for you to use if needed. Machines are limited so will be on a first come basis. If you require any further in please feel free to contact Joan Barrett at 403 380 6796

Sewing Tip of the Month
Change needles frequently. Thread your needle with a sample of the thread you will be using. Holding the thread ends in each hand, tip the thread down on one end. If the needle glides easily from one end of the sample to the other, the needle is the right size.

Embroidery Tip of the Month
Test Stitch. There are many variables in machine embroidery. The same design will stitch out differently depending on the digitizer, stabilize, fabric, needle, and thread used. Design files can become corrupted during download and even during conversion. You can ward off a lot of problems by taking time to stitch designs on similar fabric before embroidering the actual piece.

Our First Year

WOW, our first year has come and gone and what an amazing year it has been! I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support and encouragement throughout the year. None of this would have been possible without each and everyone of you, from all my amazing customers, friends, my amazing staff and most importantly my amazing family. What a fantastic community we live and work in. From myself and all the great people who make up the Fabric Fusion family...THANK YOU! Here’s hoping for many more years of continued success. Happy quilting to you all.

Check out the great deals we have on our sewing and embroidery machines.

Cases of Love
We are hoping to use up some fabric and would like to make pillowcases and donate them to local community projects. How it works.... stop by our store and pick up pre-cut fabric. Leave a $15.00 (totally refunded) deposit and take the fabric home and make a pillowcase. Bring it back completed to the store and get your money back or leave the deposit and take another one home to make. If you absolutely love your pillowcase and want to keep it, just let us know and we will keep the $15.00 deposit. It’s that simple. Once we have collected enough, we will distribute them locally to help make someone’s day just a little better.

Quote of the month
If someone ever tells you that you have “enough” fabric and don’t need anymore, stop talking to them. You don’t need that kind of negativity in your life.
